Youth Services For Oklahoma City

SKIL Pantry

We need your help to feed, clothe, and equip our SKIL teens!

Supporting Kids in Independent Living (SKIL) serves high school students living on their own while trying to reach graduation.  Our new pantry was built with funds raised by Leadership Oklahoma City's Youth Leadership Exchange Youth In Action Class IX.  Read about the 2008-2009 Youth in Action Project in The Oklahoman:

Your financial gift will help buy food, school supplies, toiletries, and other necessities.  You can also bring a bag of groceries by the office Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Suggested items include cereal, breakfast bars, fruit snacks, juice (not needing refrigeration), cocoa, teabags, soup, canned pasta, packaged pasta or rice mixes, dry pasta and jars of sauce, canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, cheese/cracker combos, crackers, cookies, peanut butter, jelly, jerky, and other "usual" food basket items.

SKIL teens always need new socks, clothing (particularly underclothes) (click here for a list)toiletries, and school supplies.  Many clients also need new white polo shirts and backpacks for school.  Your gifts are welcomed and valued and make a real difference in the life of a child in need.
